Instructions and Memory

Workspace rules and what MillOS remembers.

The Memory page holds two things that shape every estimate: the rules your team writes, and what MillOS learns along the way. "Workspace rules guide every run. Memory records what the estimator learns between runs. Project notes live in each Project."

Open it from Settings, or from the command palette with Memory & rules.

Workspace rules

The Workspace rules tab opens first. These are instructions written by your team and read at the start of every run, such as your company details, how you want deliverables grouped and how to treat allowances. MillOS reads them and never writes them, so keep them to verified, correct information.

Owners and admins can change them: choose Write rules (or Edit once there is text), make your changes and choose Save. MillOS confirms "Workspace rules saved."

Memory

The Memory tab shows Workspace memory, the notes MillOS keeps between runs, in a file called WORKSPACE.md. Owners, admins and estimators can choose Start notebook (or Edit) to add to it. A line count shows how much room is left.

Project notes

Each Project has its own instructions and its own Memory. See Project settings.
