Measuring and conditions
Measure lengths, areas and counts.
The tool rail measures on the drawing. Every measurement belongs to a condition, which is a named type of measurement with a colour and a unit, such as base cabinet, plastic laminate.
The tools
The tool rail groups its tools under five headings:
| Group | Tools |
|---|---|
| Select | Select |
| Scale | Calibrate, Check scale |
| Measure | Linear, Area, Rectangle, Wall area, Count, Symbol, and the cutting tools Deduct and Cut box |
| Markup | Callout, Note, Dimension, Cloud, Highlighter, Highlight box, Capture region, Upload and Stamps |
| Review | Check, Zone check and, when two sheets overlap, Align match line |
The side panel
The panel on the right has four sections:
- Takeoff: every measurement, by condition, and checking them.
- Markups: every annotation by sheet, with captures and the stamp library.
- Conditions: what you measure. Make, edit and locate conditions here, and use From a schedule to create one condition per row of a printed schedule.
- RFIs: questions raised from a markup. Only open ones are counted.
Work with conditions
Each condition has buttons to Isolate it on the drawing, Duplicate it, or Delete it. A condition with measurements asks before it deletes, and an empty one deletes when you choose again to confirm.
When MillOS proposes an edit to a condition, you can Accept it or Reject it. When two measurements overlap, choose Show me to frame both on the drawing.
