Details and version history
See a file's details and earlier versions.
Select a file to open its details beside the list.
Details
The header has Open, Download and History, and Full screen for spreadsheets. Below it you see:
| Detail | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Where | The folder the file is in, or Top level. |
| Owner | Who the file belongs to. |
| Size | How big it is. |
| Updated | When it last changed. |
| Added | When it arrived. |
| Version | Which version this is, once it has more than one. |
| Saved from | Where it came from, when it was saved from elsewhere. |
The details also hold the Share control. See Sharing a file.
Version history
Choose History to open the list of versions, each labelled Version N. Open one to Download it or Restore it.
Choosing Restore asks you to confirm that you want to put the file back to that version. The version you chose becomes the current file as a new version, and every earlier version stays in the history, so you can always come back.
